The best I can remember............she did it this way.....it's been 40 years....

 A friend of mine recently asked how my mom made chicken fried steak, so I made this for her.  She always made home made french fries with it,  I'll add the french fries the next time I make them..........

She always made sure the meat was tenderized.
                                       

She used this.


  I use this.                             



However you do it, you want very tenderized round steak or deer meat.


Then you season it, I honestly don't remember or even know what she used, but I use these two wonderful spices very generously.  Gr'ma McCain taught me about Onion Powder:


After you season the meat, you coat it in flour, I lay it in a floured pan and then season it, flipping it to get it covered.

Then you get your oil ready, I'm reusing some bacon grease from breakfast and then adding vegetable oil.  Fry it up.  My mom always said fry it hot and quick.  Also, she used a cast iron pan.

                        


    When it comes out, salt it again, I learned that from my brother.

    Yum, it disappears fast!!!
